Virbis - Many Challenges. One Solution

Beverley-based company, Virbis, headed up by engineering consultant Glenn Bullingham and Andy Chrismas, sales manager, is fast becoming the North’s most recognised specialist in the field of IT infrastructure virtualisation.

“Companies can save up to 60% on their IT procurement and management budget over a three year period, requiring less than half the number of servers with their associated running costs, as well as improving performance, minimising downtime and reducing manual intervention.” said Andy Chrismas.

“It also strengthens business continuity and delivers high availability for critical applications, which are so fundamental for the modern business”.

Each software application and operating system is packaged as a “virtual machine” and runs as a completely independent entity on a host server, often reducing the number of servers by half.

Virbis recently won the tender to supply Yorkshire-based EYG with a disaster recovery solution. Phil Dennison IT Manager for East Yorkshire Glazing comments, “We had several quotes for conventional solutions, but Virbis not only offered the most competitive price, but also gave us the most professional presentation, and the opportunity to install Virtualisation. They completed the installation very quickly, with no disruption to our work. We have every confidence in Virtualisation and the assurance that we have a much more secure and efficient system on which we rely for all our manufacturing as well as administrative operations.”
